What does Dansko mean to YOU? We asked, and you answered. Devon and Shaun weren't alone, everyone loves Dansko!

Dude It means comfort. Bought my first pair 8 years ago and have worn Dansko's every single day since. Best shoes I have ever owned and I am 48 and that's a whole lot of shoes.

For me, wearing Dansko's means that my feet are happy. If my feet are happy then I'm happy. Really, that's all one can ask for in life, right?

To me - Dansko means no pain. No fallen arches, no knee twinges, no lower back pain. It means putting things in alignment and making my body work like it's supposed to. It means being able to walk around all day without having to take Advil. Oh, and it also means some pretty stylish shoes!

Dansko means I walk for hours around town, and my feet don't ache when I finally get home. In other words, Dansko means I don't have to think about my feet or every single step I take, because they're taking care of me along the way.

Dansko means comfort and style in one adorable package! I wear my Marcelles almost every day, with everything from dresses to jeans, with socks, tights, or barefoot. They also make great biking shoes. Their stiff soles keep my feet from getting tired, they grip the pedals well, and they look cute both on and off my bike!

I can slide on my Danskos in the morning and I know my feet will look good and comfortable all day. I will not be coming home and kicking off my shoes first thing in the door.

Transitioning from a cubicle based career to a hospital meant that my footwear had to transition as well. Pointy and cute are fine and well when you are in a controlled environment, but not when you are in graduate school, driving two hours to work in elementary schools and hospitals, and racing back to campus to run experiments for the professor you work for during New England winters. WHEW! A few of my classmates had old, well loved pairs that I saw them wear every day. I asked them how they were and the vote was unanimous: The Best Shoe Ever. I have exceptionally flat feet (I have raised quite a few eyebrows in shoe stores) and needed arch support. Dansko Professionals are one of the only shoes that I can wear all day and not feel tired at the end. They are more supportive than my sneakers! Danskos mean more time spent thinking about being a speech-language pathologist and less time thinking about how my feet ache. Huzzah for Danskos!

Dansko means I can do things I didn't think I could. I walked the hills of San Francisco in my Danskos, I climed to the top of Alcatraz, yay! They allow me to be on my feet at my retail job with no foot or leg pain whatsoever, a revelation! Danskos make this 56 year old Grandmother feel like she is dancing!

I have fibromyalgia and work almost full-time, so for me Dansko means: I can work my job and not be in such constant pain and still feel & look cute. I have a black pair, a hickory pair, a red pair, and my newest: the patent red -- all Dansko Marcelles. I love them and they love me, and I wear them every single day during the work week. Danskos = bliss.

I dream of wearing danskos for my first day on the wards third year of med school. Dansko's means I don't have to buy another pair of dress shoes for at least 10 years. An excellent investment for someone hundreds of thousands of dollars in med school debt. :)

I'm a huge Dansko fan. I bought my first pair 5 years ago, and haven't worn anything else to work since. Some day I'll get to have something other than the professional line, but for now, it's all I need to keep my peds happy doing home health care. Danskos carried most of my friends through library school and into their first jobs. And after two and a half years of constant wear, they are right there with us as we put all our training to use!

I LOVE DANSKOS! I knew of Danskos but didn't discover how comfortable (and cute!) they were until after I had back surgery. I love my Danskos!
